Snow ends early Thursday, then there's afternoon sunshine and cold conditions

Chances for rain, sleet or snow are expected to continue through the afternoon. Look for increasing clouds by late afternoon. Add in winds from the west gusting to near 35 miles per hour, and you've got wind chills mainly in the teens and 20s. It's a cold start, with readings in the lower to middle 20s.

This comes just days after icy and snowy conditions caused havoc on United Kingdom roads, with lows hitting -13C in some parts of the country. Winds aren't as harsh, but there's still a breeze. Wind chill values feel like the 20s.

Skies will begin to clear by early evening.

Thursday night... Partly to mostly cloudy with a low around 33. However, a flurry or snow shower can't be completely ruled out, mainly across the Poconos.

"Friday is looking calmer and more settled although it will be cold". Temperatures may not break above freezing Wednesday afternoon.

A slightly milder pattern will take us into the start of next week with high temperatures Monday and Tuesday expected to be in the mid-40s. We are still battling the cold and highs once again return to the mid and upper 20s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. A few late day or evening showers are possible, mixing with some snow showers through the night as temperatures cool. High temperatures Sunday should get back into the upper 30s to near 40. That snow will come to an end early Thursday morning then the rest of the day will be cloudy to partly sunny with just some scattered some more flurries. You can thank the northwest flow of air from Canada for all these little weak systems as well as the below average temperatures.
