Mindy Kaling has welcomed her first child

Mindy Kaling has welcomed her first child

Her middle name, Swati, was given in tribute to Mindy's late mother, Swati Roysircar, who passed away in 2012.

Between A Wrinkle in Time and Ocean's 8, 2018 was already going to be a big year for Mindy Kaling.

Mindy addressed the baby news for the first time a month later in August (17): "She (Oprah) did announce it", Kaling laughed.

"May your lives together be filled with joy", she wrote.

Many initially guessed that the father could be BJ Novak-Kaling's Office co-star who also happens to be her real life best friend and ex-boyfriend-or someone else entirely, as Kaling has not been publicly linked to anyone romantically for at least the past year. Actually, Roysircar died on January 30, 2012, the same day Fox picked up The Mindy Project. So it could be kind of fun too. "We were so thrilled for her". I mean Jesus, life!

The way Kaling has reportedly chosen to honor her mother is truly wonderful. "As you know, it's so easy to criticise parenting until you're a parent, so one of the nice things about becoming a parent is that I'll be able to openly criticise other parenting, because I'll have a child".

It was reported by E! "I am just so happy for her", Beth Grant told People.

In an interview with Willie Geist, Kaling said, "I'd like to be the fun mom". She, then, of course, brought up her mom. She said her mom was "incredibly fierce", and loved her children with so much devotion. She just wasn't ready yet.

"I'm just thrilled out of my mind!"
