First Trailer Released for 'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again'

First Trailer Released for 'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again'

And finally, the moment has come as the first trailer of Mamma Mia Here We Go Again has just been released.

"By myself"? Sophie's fiancé, Sky (Dominic Cooper), was shown later on in the footage, but her mom is largely M.I.A. for the present-day scenes.

The most famous newcomer is Cher, who plays Donna's mother and makes a typically dramatic entrance at the end of the trailer.

The film follows on from the original movie, released 10 years sees Amanda Seyfried's character learning she's going to be a single mum.

Streep is listed as reprising her role in the film, which will tell Donna's story when she was younger (played by Lily James) and first met the three men who possibly spawned Sophie.

Pierce Brosnon, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard reprise their roles as Sophie's potential fathers, Sam, Bill and Harry.

Maybe we'll find out the answer to this mystery when the next trailer drops, but we'll definitely find out when "Mamma Mia!". And as proven by the first trailer for the film (which is set for next summer), they'll be doing so for a rollicking tale that elucidates the backstory of Streep's central character.

My my, how can I resist you? The Movie are Academy Award victor Meryl Streep as Donna, Julie Walters as Rosie and Christine Baranski as Tanya.

"Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again" sings and dances its way into theaters in July 2018.

Of course, you never know; Donna may be alive and off on her own adventures. Lowering her glasses, Cher's character responds, "That's the best kind of party, little girl". Check out the trailer for Mamma Mia!

The casting of Cher as Streep/Donna's mum has done nothing but add to the confusion, particularly considering what Donna said in the first film.
