Some Galaxy Note 8 devices facing issues while charging

Some Galaxy Note 8 devices facing issues while charging

It seems as if the iPhone isn't the only product family dealing with a slowdown, however, as a number of people have reported Galaxy Note 8 battery problems. Users have apparently been experiencing the inability to charge the device after the battery has fully drained out. Earlier this year, Samsung had introduced the 8-point battery safety check system to let its fans know that the future phones from the company will not come across such an issue.

Samsung is reportedly aware of the problem and is replacing devices. It could be both hardware or a software problem. In the posts, several customers complain that their phones are not charging. Some users who have encountered the problem have said that they are able to see charging cycle on the screen after connecting the charging cable, but the phablet refuses to charge.

"My wife's Note 8 turned off today and won't turn back on", reads one such complaint. In the video, he explains that he has tried a few things to see if the phone turns on, including a reset.

Many users have started reporting the same on Samsung US website regarding the issue.

Shortly before Christmas, reports claimed Samsung plans to release the handset sometime in March, which would suggest a February or March announcement.

The battery is the most controversial feature of any smartphone, be it the Apple iPhones that gets downgraded performance due to a decrease in the battery life or the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.

It is worth noting that on Twitter a couple of users talking about their bricked Galaxy Note 8 devices have the units locked with carriers such as Verizon and Sprint Mobile.
