Roy Moore accuser files defamation lawsuit against him

Roy Moore accuser files defamation lawsuit against him

In a lawsuit filed Thursday, Corfman requested a declaratory judgement of defamation, a public apology from Moore, and a court-enforced ban that would prevent him or the campaign from attacking her in the future.

Moore has repeatedly denied the allegations made by Corfman and other women of unwanted romantic or sexual advances.

That lawyer is a man named Martin Wishnatsky, Kayla Moore told AL.com on Thursday - and it turns out Wishnatsky is now a practicing Christian.

On the second visit to the house, Mr. Moore sexually abused Ms. Corfman. Then he and his campaign called me a liar and immoral when I publicly disclosed his misconduct. "I believe they are brought only to stop a very successful campaign, and that's what they're doing".

His supporters and crusade delegates said in interviews that they didn't trust the ladies and called them liars. "By this lawsuit, I seek to do what I could not do as a 14-year-old-hold Mr. Moore and those who enable him accountable". The suit also asks for "further relief as permitted by law and as the court deems appropriate".

Wishnatsky told AL.com that he was hired in 2012 by Roy Moore as a full-time clerk when Moore was reelected to the state Supreme Court. Ms. Corfman resisted Mr. Moore and asked him to take her home. "Allegations of sexual misconduct with her [Corfman] are completely false", Moore said during the campaign.

Leigh Corfman is not seeking financial compensation beyond legal costs, said her attorney, Neil Roman.

Roy Moore, a Republican, lost to Democrat Doug Jones in last year's special Senate election in Alabama.

Roy Moore, pictured last month, was accused of sexual misconduct involving young girls in the 1970s.

Moore and his campaign also accused some of the women quoted in the Post of being paid by the publication, an allegation the women and the paper have denied.

"All these statements by Mr. Moore are defamatory", the lawsuit said. She says he took her out, gave her alcohol, partially undressed her and himself, touched her intimately and made her touch him.
