Elder Dragons, Free DLC, Beta and PC release

Elder Dragons, Free DLC, Beta and PC release

The Kushala Daora is covered with plates of steel and has the ability to call up wind storms at any given moment.

In the trailer, we get to see a host of new beasts that we'll be tasked in hunting down in the action role-playing game.

If you're looking to sink your teeth into life as a monster hunter, there isn't much longer to wait. PS4 owners have one more beta before Monster Hunter: World hits consoles on January 26. It will feature a brand new mission where you'll face Nerigigante, a formidable beastie that won't go down easily.

Capcom offered some new details on Monster Hunter: World today, including a look at some of the game's new and returning Elder Dragons and the first piece of free downloadable content. The beta runs from 6 PM Pacific on Thursday, January 18 until 6 PM Pacific on Sunday, January 21, with pre-loading beginning on January 17. There will be one additional quest available for those who have already played the rest in beta, the game's "flagship monster Nergigante". The first major update will bring the fan-favorite monster "Deviljho" to the game.

Finally, the company talked about their plans for post release support, including both DLC and regular free content updates.

Retaining the series' skill based progression and robust crafting system, players gear up to venture on quests to seek and slay monsters, progressively improving their skills to become the ultimate hunter. "Deviljho must feed constantly and will devour anything in its way, even feeding on the largest of monsters with its massive jowls", Capcom said.
