FA asks Arsenal's Arsene Wenger to explain comments on referees

As he is already being charged with the comments from the West Brom game, there is a possibility that Wenger could face a touchline ban as a effect of the FA's latest correspondence with him.

The Arsenal manager has said he intends to appeal against the separate FA charge relating to his behaviour after last weekend's 1-1 draw at West Brom, when defender Calum Chambers was penalised by referee Mike Dean for a handball.

Wenger is contesting the FA charge. You can listen to every interview I said. "I maintain what I said in the press conference, 100%".

Wenger was speaking after a pulsating and at times controversial 2-2 draw with Chelsea at the Emirates.

The Gunners boss criticised Taylor in his post-match comments after he had awarded Eden Hazard a penalty after a soft challenge from Hector Bellerin.

"At the moment we have to face surprising decisions", Wenger added.

However, Hector Bellerin - having earlier fouled Hazard for the penalty - popped up with an injury time equaliser.

Wenger will serve his latest ban from Arsenal's FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, and the first leg of the League Cup semi-final against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Alonso snatched what he thought was the victor six minutes from time, but Arsenal showed great resolve to push for an equaliser and Bellerin atoned in the 92nd minute with a stunning half-volley from the edge of the area.

He said: "It was very disappointing in the way it happened". I haven't scored in a while. I'm happy with the goal.

"When you come here you see football, and unfortunately the games are always spoiled by factors you can't master".

And according to Daily Mail's player ratings for both teams, Moses got 5.5 out of 10 with his performance described as poor.

"It was a great football game, we have shown great mental resources, I knew the last 20 minutes would be tough".
