Barack Obama and David Letterman Break Down the President's Dad Dance Moves

Barack Obama and David Letterman Break Down the President's Dad Dance Moves

Obama has not given that many interviews in the year since his presidency ended, so presumably their discussion will also include at least a mention of his take on the last year in politics.

He continued: "So, you've got to stay in the pocket". The former president jokes that he has "dad moves" and practices "staying in the pocket" to avoid embarrassment while dancing. "Then Sasha pulls me up, which surprises me because she always mocks my dancing, but I have 'dad moves.'" Cue the presidential dancing advice for dads across America.

Obama said Prince pulled Obama's younger daughter Sasha up to dance with him. "And you know, they start doing like karate kicks and all kinds of stuff".

Directed by Michael Bonfiglio, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction will be executive produced by Justin Wilkes, Dave Sirulnick, Jon Hamen and Aaron Bergeron, the latter of whom serves as the series producer for RadicalMedia - the production company behind the show, who are working alongside Letterman's Worldwide Pants.

Meanwhile, the beard - you know which one and on whom - remains long and snow-white. Subsequent episodes feature an influential list of guests, including Jay-Z, Tina Fey, and George Clooney.

In the clip of the talk show's first episode, the former president talked about spending a night dancing with Prince.

Letterman is returning to television on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman", which debuts Friday - 12:01 a.m. PT - on Netflix.
