John Williams Confirms Return For 'Star Wars: Episode IX'

John Williams Confirms Return For 'Star Wars: Episode IX'

There were numerous prominent deaths in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The love that's put into making the film seems quite evident, and it's such a shame that some fans would openly protest and ask to have The Last Jedi be put out of canon despite all of the effort being made into delivering a fresh and wonderfully cinematic Star Wars movie.

That being said, Johnson didn't rule out the possibility of more Snoke in the future. "Hamill recalls that once he read the script, he wasn't sure what was going on, and he called Abrams and Johnson asking "'Are you guys aware of this?

Personally, I have no problem with how Johnson handled Luke's arc in The Last Jedi.

"I don't think you can retire from writing", he said.

As such, the scene goes far beyond what we saw, far beyond a cameo from an older character, and sets audiences up subtly for a super-powered Master Skywalker in Episode IX.

One character who probably won't be coming back as a Force ghost, however, is Supreme Leader Snoke, who got a half-off discount in the film.

More critical fans, however, were surprised to see him having the power to control the weather and bringing down a lightning strike on the ancient Jedi tree in order to prove to Luke that there is more to the Force than old texts. I'm fine with this! "I feel very lucky, and the work that I do doesn't depend on much". But some people do, and they want answers, gosh darn it. He clearly was ambivalent on whether or not he should share any details, however, stating, "It was a tough thing, even though I knew some fans were interested in it I also knew it wasn't something that dramatically had a place in this movie". "But it's not something that's particularly interesting to Rey, so we kind of had to follow through". Surely, the theories say, backed up by this quote by the director, the scene is created to ease fans into the idea that Luke is now a Force ghost.
