Ant McPartlin Files For Divorce From Lisa Armstrong

Ant and Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist Lisa's love story has been adored by many over the years and they have known each other for more than two decades.

Lisa appeared to hint that things had taken a turn for the worst when she posted a picture which labelled 2017 as a rubbish year.

It continued: "Ant asks for privacy at this hard time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. It is all very sad, especially with all she has gone through this year".

It was Ant's decision to end the marriage following a series of emotional face to face meetings with Lisa.

"Ant's big concern in the whole thing is Lisa and making it as easy as possible for her He will obviously look after her in the settlement".

They claimed Ant wants to release an official statement in the new year but "Lisa has not agreed to this yet".

In a sad statement made via his spokesperson, Ant announced that after 11 years of marriage, he and his wife Lisa would be getting a divorce.

No further comment on the situation is expected to be made.

It wasn't until 12 years later that the smitten couple finally Wednesday at a church in Taplow, Buckinghamshire in front of 150 friends and family.

In a bid to numb the pain, Ant began taking the prescription drug Tramadol and soon realised that he'd become hooked on the painkiller, which can cause speech disturbances, lack of co-ordination, headaches and drowsiness. He told the Sun: "I've put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you".

"I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I am truly sorry". He added: "This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage".

Since his rehab stint, Ant has returned to television and presented I'm A Celebrity in November, alongside his best pal Declan Donnelly.

It has been reported that the couple, who met on the Smart Hits tour in Newcastle in 1994, will split amicably.

They tied the knot at Cliveden House on July 22, 2006 in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. "They've been having problems for ages", following the news of the divorce.

He said: 'Lisa works in the industry and understands it.
