CREED Sequel Casts Ivan Drago's Son

CREED Sequel Casts Ivan Drago's Son

Jordan's Adonis Creed being the son of Apollo Creed, it's only fitting that he'd somehow go head to head with Drago's own offspring, making this a multi-generational feud.

Sylvester Stallone finally found the ideal person to take over the role of Ivan Drago's son in the upcoming film "Creed 2". Romanian boxer Florian "Big Nasty" Munteanu will assume the role in the film, which is set to start shooting very soon for a release later in the year. While specifics on the next installment in the Rocky saga are still unknown, Sylvester Stallone confirmed on social media that the plot will have something to do with the son of Ivan Drago.

There has been plenty of speculation and rumors regarding who might play the role of Drago's son in "Creed 2". Tessa Thompson, who played Adonis' love Bianca in the first film, will also return.

Steven Caple will direct the sequel, which is set to begin shooting in March in Philadelphia toward a November 21 release date. Portrayed by Dolph Lundgren, Ivan Drago appeared in Rocky IV, and broke all of our hearts when he killed Apollo Creed. Stallone, who reprised his role of Rocky Balboa, received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.

Steven Caple Jr. will take over the director's chair in "Creed 2", while Stallone and "Luke Cage" showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker will write the script for the movie.
