Tom Brady limited at Patriots practice with hand injury

Burkhead has missed the last several weeks while dealing with a knee injury, but he could play this Sunday against Jacksonville.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was restricted to limited practice on Wednesday due to a hand injury.

National Football League rules require a player to be listed on the injury report "even if he fully participates in practice and the team expects that he will play in the team's next game".

X-Rays showed no structural damage, Guregian reported.

Brady has been on and off the injury report at times this season - for an Achilles and his left shoulder.

Brady did not attend a scheduled AFC championship news conference because he was meeting with the team medical staff.

The 40-year-old Brady had yet another outstanding season in his 18th year in the NFL.

It was the Patriots' first practice in preparation for Sunday's conference title game against the Jacksonville Jaguars; the victor will proceed to the Super Bowl, where they will meet either the Minnesota Vikings or the Philadelphia Eagles.
