Sebastian Gorka has had warrant for his arrest in Hungary since 2016

Sebastian Gorka has had warrant for his arrest in Hungary since 2016

The warrant can also be found on the Hungarian police's website, though additional details are not available.

The warrant, which is over a "gun or ammo manhandle" issue, has been set up since September 2016, covering the aggregate of Gorka's White House spell, as per BuzzFeed, refering to revealing by Hungarian media outlet 444.

Gorka's parents are Hungarian by birth and he lived in the country from 1992 to 2008, and became a naturalized USA citizen in 2012, the paper reported. Gorka's actual role at the White House was unclear before he left in August (he claims he resigned, but reports say he was sacked by new chief of staff John Kelly).

The Hungarian law enforcement website cites Gorka for an alleged incident in 2009 relating to firearms or ammunition. He did not address whether the warrant itself exists. The warrant possibly stems from an incident in Budapest, Hungary, that happened as far back as 2009, according to 444. Nor did he mention if he has made any return visits to Hungary in the last decade, during which he could have allegedly committed the offense that led to the warrant being issued. He was considered a close ally of former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon, who left Trump's staff in August, one week before Gorka. Gorka was ceased by police in 2016 in the wake of attempting to bring a handgun onto a carrier at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

This would not be the first time or the first nation in which Gorka got in legal trouble related to firearms. A Virginia judge later dismissed the charge.
