Trump Attacks Jay-Z For Criticizing His Alleged 'Sh*thole Countries' Remark

Trump Attacks Jay-Z For Criticizing His Alleged 'Sh*thole Countries' Remark

A few days later, Trump again tweeted about the low unemployment, taking an opportunity to criticize Democrats as well.

Jones asked the hip hop star about comments Trump reportedly made January 11, when he described African countries as "shitholes" while speaking to a group of USA senators about immigration.

As Jay-Z and Trump trade verbal blows, this whole fiasco will be particularly devastating for one individual: Eminem.

During an interview with CNN that aired on Saturday, Jay-Z told host Van Jones that the comments had been "hurtful".

When Eminem dissed Donald Trump during his BET cypher and later on several songs off his latest album Revival, the President didn't react anywhere on social media or otherwise.

Jay-Z spoke about his marriage to Beyonce as well, saying, "For us, we chose to fight for our love, for our family, to give our kids a different outcome, to break that cycle", he said.

"What you've done was spray perfume on a trash can", he said, adding that more spray attracts more bugs and is not actually dealing with the trash: racism.

He, of course, lost his team but Jay Z had something to say about that solution as well. At Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy gala on Saturday, Hov said that he will take a more active role making the Grammys a more diverse entity. As those things grow, you create a superbug. Specifically, if President Trump deserves some recognition, or even a bit of "redemption" as a leader, for the dwindling unemployment numbers.

During the interview, Jones noted that black unemployment was historically low under the Trump administration, but the rapper did not appear impressed. "Something happened to him and he is in pain and he is expressing it this sort of way", he said. "Money doesn't equate to happiness".

Blogger JaVonni Brustow called Jay-Z's remark to CNN the "dumbest remark of the year so far and worse than s***holes", referencing Trump's alleged remark about Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations. "You treat people like human beings.that's the main point". "That is the idea for all of us to get involved and to push this thing further no matter what happens at the Grammys, it's going to be what it is".

African-American unemployment stands at 6.8%, a record low.
