Hyundai Santa Fe Shown in New Renderings Ahead of Geneva Show

Hyundai Santa Fe Shown in New Renderings Ahead of Geneva Show

The model, expected in the US market in the third quarter of this year, will be also "key to recovering the utilisation rate of Hyundai's factory in Alabama", Ko said.

The new Santa Fe will make its world debut in February before being displayed in March at the Geneva International Motor Show; we expect to see a USA version at the 2018 New York International Auto Show later that month.

"We have high hopes for the model", he said.

The new Santa Fe is expected to be officially revealed in March, 2018, with sales commencing locally by the middle of the year.

A pinch of salt needs to be taken with the renders, but the basics of what they show will be there, including the bigger statement grille, slim running lights sitting above the headlights, more rounded front and rear end and a look which makes the Santa Fe look more like Hyundai's latest offerings.

When it arrives, the Hyundai Santa Fe will continue to be Hyundai's standard-bearer in the United Kingdom, offering buyers an alternative to the Skoda Kodiaq, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Nissan X-Trail.

According to preliminary details revealed by the automaker, the 2019 Santa Fe will be equipped with advanced technologies to make the driving experience safer.

Included in Hyundai's Smart Sense suite of driver-assistive features, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning has also been updated to include an automated braking function. The brand singled out a new rear occupant alert system that monitors back-seat passengers and alerts the driver when vacating the auto. If the passenger in the back seat tries to get out of the auto without noticing an approaching vehicle an alarm will sound. A strong won drives down the value of dollar-denominated earnings when repatriated into the local currency.

The two-row, five-seater SUV was unveiled to South Korean media at a "preview" event, before its official launch in February in the home market.
