Trump demands vetting centre to weed out immigrants

Trump demands vetting centre to weed out immigrants

"We were heartbroken to hear the news of Edwin Jackson's passing", the Colts said in a statement. He was deported in 2007 and 2009 following arrests in San Francisco.

President Donald Trump tweeted Tuesday morning about the death of Indianapolis Colts player Edwin Jackson. He's also spoke for more than two years about building a wall along the U.S and Mexico border to prevent people from crossing the border.

"My prayers and best wishes are with the family of Edwin Jackson, a wonderful young man whose life was so senselessly taken".

Edwin Jackson was 26 at the time of his death. As president, he has threatened to withhold federal funding to cities with sanctuary city policies.

IN police identified the suspect as Manuel Orrego-Savala, a Guatemalan national. ICE officials say Orrego-Savala has a prior conviction in California for driving under the influence.

The police are now working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officers and they have placed a hold on him. "It's an insult to those who do it the right way".

Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, remained jailed Monday but has not been charged in Sunday's deadly crash along Interstate 70 in Indianapolis. "I don't know why I am here". His first court hearing is Wednesday.

Jeffrey Monroe, 54, of Avon, Indiana, was the ride-share driver who also was killed in the crash around 4 a.m. Sunday. Orrego-Savala's truck drove onto the emergency shoulder and hit the rear of the auto that struck Jackson and Monroe. Police have identified the suspect as Manuel Orrego-Savala, an undocumented immigrant.

It is unknown exactly how Orrego-Savala made it into the United States illegally in each of the three occasions.

In court this morning, Orrega-Savala said through a court interpreter that he wasn't driving the vehicle, WRTV reported.

Investigators said Monroe had pulled over to let Jackson out of the auto because he was ill. He said a coroner will be looking into that victim's specific cause of death.

Micah Clark, executive cirector of the American Family Association of IN, says the Indianapolis community is IN shock.
