Battle Royale Game 'Fear the Wolves' Announced, Coming 2018

Focus Home Interactive and the dev team behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Vostok Games, have joined forces to throw their hat into the ring with their recently announced post-apocalyptic, FPS, battle royale title Fear the Wolves.

Another studio has thrown its hat into the ever-diminishing ring of the battle royale genre.

Focus Home and Vostok have been working on the title for several months now but revealed it to the world during the "Le What's Next de Focus" event taking place in Paris right now.

Prior to launch, PC players can look forward to getting hands-on with the game through Early Access. According to the developer, the classic Battle Royale mode forces gamers to fight to be the last person standing out of a hundred fighters. But as well as everyone else on the map, players must consider other threats such as deadly anomalies and the dynamically-changing weather. Fear the Wolves features a day-night cycle, and if you find the proper protective gear, you can freely explore zones that have been marked as off-limits.

The game's setting revolves around a heavily saturated radiated wasteland in Chernobyl, and the 100 player battle royale will prove to be the ultimate test of who's the best and who just couldn't make the cut. That is if you can survive long enough from the mutated creatures in the shadows.

Thanks to the massive and unprecedented success of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite in 2017, it was only a matter of time before copycats began to hit the market in the new year.
