Coutinho scores as Barcelona reaches 5th straight Copa final

Colombian global defender Yerry Mina is set to make his Barcelona debut in Thursday's second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at Valencia with Gerard Pique an injury doubt.

Coutinho broke the deadlock in the 49th minute of the semi-final, second leg at Mestalla, having only come on at the start of the second half.

Philippe Coutinho has finally got on the scoresheet for Barcelona following his £142 million move from Liverpool.

Barcelona will face Sevilla, who defeated Leganes on Wednesday, in the April 21 final.

Valencia had lost their last three matches in a row but looked the more risky in the first half, with Rodrigo Moreno powering their best chance off the underside of the crossbar.

Suarez also set up the second goal, finding Rakitic for an easy goal from inside the area after a breakaway in the 82nd minute.

The Barcelona striker suffered the injury in August and rushed himself back in order to help Uruguay qualify for the 2018 World Cup finals.

Valencia were hoping to reach the final for the first time since they won the trophy under Ronald Koeman in 2008, beating Barcelona in the last four on the way.

And after a run of just three goals in 14 appearances for Barca, he opted to take it easy during the November global break, in a hope that he could come back well-rested and rejuvenated.

Ivan Rakitic sealed the victory late in the second leg of the semifinals as Barcelona added to its 1-0 win from the opener at Camp Nou Stadium, advancing 3-0 on aggregate.

Valencia had centre-back Ezequiel Garay carried off and then saw Cillessen make an incredible save to deny Jose Gaya from point-blank range in the 74th minute.
