A Newly Discovered iOS Bug Can Crash Your iPhone

A Newly Discovered iOS Bug Can Crash Your iPhone

In fact, it'll make it impossible for you to text, at all. If so, this #Bug may affect you.

As for Apple's fiercest rival Android, which of course is owned by Google, who are never tied to a September release date giving their developers sufficient time to meet their own deadlines and iron out any potential security or bug issues before an official launch.

Additionally, despite this, Kuo believes that this phone will be Apple's most successful iPhone this year and estimated sales around 100 million units. That's a lot of people that could potentially be affected by this bug. Reports suggest that the bug can also be exploited on Safari and Messages on macOS as well as the Apple Watch. Check out a demonstration of the bug in action below.

The specific character crashes the springboard, and once your iPhone has recovered from that, the messaging app where it was received crashes every time it's tapped. As soon as the message is received, Apple's operating system crashes and you have no way of resurrecting your messaging apps. The character interestingly doesn't crash all apps, however. If it doesn't restart properly and you force a reboot, your entire device may get stuck in a bootloop and require a DFU mode restore. Specifically, it involves receiving another message without that character.

The bug also seems to be affecting third-party apps, as the message disables access to the aforementioned applications.

A new bug in Apple devices has been discovered.

The seemingly endless string of iOS bugs is a sickness that just won't go away. Just last month there was a bug that could freeze an iPhone using a single link. Those apps can also become disabled and fixing the problem can be hard.

During their development work on an worldwide news feed, software engineers at Aloha Browser discovered two unicode symbols in a non-English language that can crash any Apple device that uses Apple's default San Francisco font.
