IOS 11 tips and tricks for business professionals (free PDF)

If you receive the symbol in a message do not attempt to open because it causes the iOS Springboard - which manages the devices homescreen - to crash.

The iOS 11.3 revamp is scheduled to come out in the spring.

The first tech site to detect the bug was the Italy-based Mobile World, which claims that it has tested the glitch several times on systems powered by the iOS 11.2.5.

In addition to embracing the notch, future apps will also have to be able to accommodate the iPhone X's Super Retina display, which has a 2436-by-1125-pixel resolution, Apple told developers. How do you feel about it appearing in subsequent smartphone designs on both iOS and Android?

To help address the situation, Apple says its already working on a patch that will fix the bug, which should arrive in the form of an intermediary update before iOS 11.3 (which is now in beta) gets officially released.

Messages containing the symbol can effectively disable any chat or email app.

. The only way you can fix the freezing loop is to ask somebody to send you another message and try to delete the thread that includes the Indian letter. You just need to go to the trouble of installing iOS beta 11.3, which addresses the problem, along with all current betas of macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

Now Apple says a bug fix will be released soon, according to The Verge. These tips apply to iOS 11 specifically, so if you haven't upgraded yet be sure to do so to gain these great new features on your iOS devices.

The new iOS brought with it a host of bugs for users, with the worst of it hitting iPhone and iPad owners late a year ago.

Apple has told developers that new apps submitted by April should embrace the iPhone X's notch and almost bezel-less display. Indeed, in addition to the iPhone X being labeled the "most breakable" iPhone released thus far, weaker-than-expected sales have reportedly led to Apple cutting the device's production in half.
