Kremlin rejects United States charge Russian Federation in breach of arms control treaties

Kremlin rejects United States charge Russian Federation in breach of arms control treaties

Russian President Vladimir Putin this week set the course for a new arms race with Washington as he boasted of a new generation of "invincible" Russian weapons developed in response to the threat posed by the US.

He said he was unaware of who could be behind those people and called on the United States to provide reliable evidence that they had done anything wrong.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, which quoted Putin from an interview he had recently given to the American news channel, NBC TV, the president also said the accused indicted in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation did not act on Russian state's behalf. Trump says there was no collusion between his campaign and Russian Federation.

Kelly listed some of the accusations of Russian interference made by Mueller's office and other USA officials, including the spreading of false information online. "Russian Federation does not extradite its citizens to anyone, just like the United States".

"Russia is a third-world mafia state that is essentially a gas station, and that's kind of all they have", Sullivan said. The United States has no extradition treaty with Moscow and can't compel it to hand over citizens, and a provision in Russia's constitution prohibits extraditing its citizens to foreign countries.

Sullivan said he supports the full implementation of additional sanctions against Russian Federation as the USA shifts its focus back to global superpowers. Moscow, too, has been denying allegations that it tried to influence the USA presidential election.

The prolongation of anti-Russian sanctions is illegal, Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday, commenting on the announcement by the U.S. regarding anti-Russia restrictions, Sputnik reported.
