Kolasinac Challenges Arsenal to win Europa League in Unbeaten Finish

Kolasinac Challenges Arsenal to win Europa League in Unbeaten Finish

Ex-Premier League midfielder Kevin Kilbane has joined the chorus of criticism aimed at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after Brighton condemned the Gunners to their fourth consecutive defeat.

Laurent Koscielny has laid bare the crisis of confidence at Arsenal and admitted the players' self-belief will not return swiftly after Brighton inflicted the team's fourth defeat in the space of 11 days.

Jack Wilshere has issued a public apology to Arsenal fans after the 2-1 loss at Brighton on Sunday, saying they "deserve better".

A large majority of travelling supporters at the AMEX Stadium chanted "we want Wenger out", with the club 33 points adrift of runaway leaders City and closer to the foot of the Premier League table than the summit.

However, when questioned about his future in recent times, Wenger always replied: "I don't want to talk about my future".

"It's not easy, but I have enough experience and enough desire to turn things around and I must say that, at the moment, when you need to stay in the game we are making a few mistakes at the wrong moments".

"It is very hard, almost impossible now, we are too far behind", the Frenchman said after Arsenal remained on 45 points, trailing north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in fourth by 13 points.

"Yes it's the first time it happens in my whole career [losing so many games], I must say, and it's not easy".

"I just don't see what winning the Europa League does for Arsenal going forward".

Wenger said he is focussing on doing his job when asked about stepping away from his post.

So who will Wenger bank on to get him a pivotal result in the first leg of this last 16 tie? "We did not play well in the two games against Manchester City".

"This is a tragedy and it really hurts me", said Conte, who coached Astori when he was in charge of Italy.

But the Arsenal board are expected to part ways with the Frenchman should Arsenal suffer heartbreak in the Europa League, and fail to qualify for the Champions League for a second successive season.

"You're not going to get in the top four again, this is the second year on the run - of course you would".
