Plane passengers restrain traveler from hell claiming to be God

Plane passengers restrain traveler from hell claiming to be God

The event occurred on Monday, during the SkyWest flight 5449 from San Francisco to Boise. The passengers subdued the woman after she attempted to open the cabin door.

She then screamed: "I am God I am God, I am God, I am God!" as she attempted to open the door.

Police detained the woman, who remains unidentified at this time, once the flight landed safely into the Boise Airport.

She remains in the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Boise police are investigating the incident and told ABC affiliate KGO that the woman was held for a medical evaluation.

He said both women, who were sitting in the First-Class section, looked and sounded apprehensive. "The flight staff were real calm".

Thanks to a generous passenger, there is footage of the incident available on YouTube.

"She wasn't acting right, or normal, from the very beginning [of the flight]", Scott Smith, a fellow passenger on the flight, told the Idaho Statesman, before noting that the woman's companion had also appeared bothered. "Get me off this plane!" she was heard saying.

The passenger was restrained during the flight, and police met the aircraft at the gate, said Layne Watson, a spokesperson for SkyWest.

And moments later another passenger carefully restrains her on the plane carpet to try and stop her moving.

"The unruly customer was held for questioning by law enforcement", the spokesman said.

The FBI has launched an investigation into the mid-air drama, and possible charges have been referred to the prosecutor's office.
