New Jersey lottery player wins Mega Millions jackpot

New Jersey lottery player wins Mega Millions jackpot

A single lottery ticket sold in the US state of New Jersey has won Friday's Mega Millions jackpot of more than half a billion USA dollars.

Friday night's drawing also produced two $1 million winning tickets, where players in OH and Texas matched all five white balls.

A lucky victor has a $521 million Mega Millions ticket.

Friday's drawing was exactly six years after the largest-to-date Mega Millions jackpot when three tickets from Illinois, Kansas and Maryland split a $656 million payout. The winning numbers were 11, 28, 31, 46, 59 and Mega Ball 1. Two other winning Mega Millions tickets were sold in OH and Texas, which matched the five white balls for $1 million prize each, according to Mega Millions.

Also Friday night, two tickets, sold in OH and Texas, matched the five white balls to win $1 million each.

Numbers have been drawn for a giant lottery jackpot in the United States of at least U.S. $521 million.

No one has matched all six numbers drawn since January.

There has been no word on whether there were any jackpot winners and the Mega Millions website lists the next jackpot amount as "pending".

A lucky person who bought a Mega Millions ticket in New Jersey is now a multimillionaire. According to CBS, the odds of winning the $521 million prize were 302.5 million to one.
