David De Gea values Manchester United success over personal awards

David De Gea values Manchester United success over personal awards

Playmaker Kevin De Bruyne and his Manchester City team-mates made up nearly half of the Professional Footballers' Association's Premier League team of the year revealed on Wednesday.

The champions secured the title last weekend and are on course to break a host of records providing they continue their sparkling form.

Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Christian Eriksen have been voted as the best midfielders in the division this season, and rightly so.

The 25-year-old is Liverpool's only representative as the list didn't include the names of Reds' duo Sadio Mane and Robert Firmino who are both enjoying an incredible season with the Reds, with Firmino netting 15 goals and being listed fifth on the league's top scorers list.

However, Aguero and four of his Manchester City team-mates got the nod this time around - taking the club's total up to 14 players in the last 10 teams.

The post Man City Stars Dominate PFA EPL Team Of The Year appeared first on Complete Sports Nigeria.

Joining Kane on the team are a duo from Spurs- central defender Jan Vertonghen and midfielder Christian Eriksen.

De Bruyne, Silva, Kane, Salah and De Gea have all been shortlisted for the PFA's Player of the Year award, along with City's Leroy Sane.

The PFA Awards ceremony will be held in London on Sunday.
