Elon Musk Plans to Start Candy Company

Elon Musk Plans to Start Candy Company

If you follow Elon Musk on Twitter, you'll already know that he's somewhat different to your average company CEO, and occasionally uses it to announce oddball spinoff projects, safe in the knowledge that a Retweet can get halfway around the world before a press release even has its shoes on. Running The Boring Company, Tesla, and SpaceX could only be challenging, yet Musk still manages to juggle his many responsibilities in a dazzling fashion.

Buffett, however, is the champion of the moat concept.

So whether or not Musk actually intends to start a candy company, the key is to never underestimate the man's random claims.

Seeing everyone's response to his sweet-toothed idea, Musk asked everyone about their preferences, while revealing what he wants in his candy as well.

While Buffett has long extolled the benefits of moats-which are a key component of his stock-picking process-Musk spurned the concept entirely during a Tesla earnings call this week. In business, a moat is a concept where a company maintains competitive advantages over its rivals to succeed.

"I'm starting a candy company & it's going to be wonderful", he wrote in a Twitter post on Saturday.

It was then that the reason for Musk's newest inspiration came to be: Buffett mentioned Musk in a Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting when talking about moats, in this case, financial ones.

Elon Musk is the closest thing we've to Tony Stark.

According to CNN, the idea for the candy company stems from a feud between Musk and his fellow billionaire Warren Buffet. It's hard to determine what his actual plans are, as Musk has proven to be quite unpredictable in the past. Well, Musketeers is already taken so Musk is thinking of settling with Cyptocandy.

Although the Tesla CEO insisted he was "super super serious", the tone of his Twitter thread - in which he also noted that "the plot of Willy Wonka is really messed up" - suggested otherwise.
