Details On Pricing For Nintendo Switch Online

One of the most requested features from Nintendo Switch owners since the release of the console has been cloud saves. They say that "you can compete (or cooperate) online with friends, share your screen, or pass the controller, depending on the game".

While online play has been free on the Switch since its launch last year, Nintendo confirmed that this will change once the paid service arrives later this year.

JAPANESE GAMING OUTFIT Nintendo has finally revealed the details of its paid-for online service ahead of its September 2018 arrival.

A family membership includes up to eight Nintendo Account holders who can use the service, even on different systems. Now it seems Nintendo has put the final polish on the service and will launch it in September with some much-needed features and benefits.

Nintendo Switch Online will also include future special offers for subscribers, though Nintendo gave no details as to what those might be, and access to game-enhancing features for specific titles through its Nintendo Switch Online mobile app. The service will be available across three pricing tiers, including $3.99 for a month, $7.99 for three months, or $19.99 for a year. These games will also be available to download and play offline. Until the service launches, you can play those games online for free. The Family membership comes in one size at $34.99 per year, though if you have more than one player it's by far the best way to go.

Not everything will have multiplayer, but some will. Nintendo also notes that some will enable you to take turns with your friends - just like when you played Super Mario Bros. To start, Nintendo Switch Online will have Balloon Fight, Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo says it will let users create a Nintendo Account Family Group starting May 15. As of reporting this, Nintendo has revealed 12 NES games.

Voice chat is also supported through the smartphone app.

The Nintendo Online Service addresses the problem of not being able to back up save files in the cloud. Tell us what you think in the comment section below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
