Pauley Perrette Reveals 'Multiple Physical Assaults' After 'NCIS' Exit

Pauley Perrette Reveals 'Multiple Physical Assaults' After 'NCIS' Exit

Pauley Perrette, best known for playing forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS, alluded to being a victim of assault on Twitter yesterday. "Tell someone (sic)", she tweeted.

"I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever", she tweeted. But now that I KNOW because it was ME! If it's school or work, that you're required to go to? Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now.

Her beloved character left the show last week after appearing in more than 350 episodes of the CBS drama.

On the following day, Sunday, May 13, Pauley Perrette continued her confession on why she left NCIS Season 15. "But there are out sourcing articles on the market that are telling entire lies in me". An unnamed source said they believe that Mark blamed himself for Pauley leaving the show and wanted to make things right. Please leave me alone. And you know what I said? In the subsequent tweets, she claimed that she hadn't gone public with the real reason she left the show out of a sense of obligation to the crew and all the people who would lose their jobs if she did. But at what cost?

She went on to explain that she was trying to keep the rest of the cast and crew safe by not totally revealing too many details of her story, but that she was unsure if that was the right or wrong thing to do.

She went on to say that a "very rich, very powerful publicity "machine" was working against her and planting false stories. Trying to remain calm.

CountryLiving.com reached out to Pauley's representatives for comment but did not immediately receive a response. "There have been all kinds of false rumors as to why (NO I DON'T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!)", she tweeted at the time.

Last year Perrette wrote about being raped when she was 15, and said that the trauma from that led her into abusive relationships and kept her from speaking up for herself when she was bullied by a "powerful man" in a "work environment". "Tell someone", she concluded. Her courageous admission surely won't go unnoticed, but only time will tell if those who harmed Perrette will be brought to justice. "I love her as much as you do".
