Lando Carlrissian Could Be Getting His Own Star Wars Standalone Movie

Star Wars Celebration, the ultimate fan event, is moving to Chicago in 2019, Lucasfilm announced Wednesday.

Star Wars Celebration is a fan-centric event that began in 1999 in association with LucasFilm to help promote Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

Star Wars Celebration will be celebrating its 20th anniversary during the five-day event, arriving ahead of the release of "Star Wars: Episode IX".

Tickets are set to go on sale on June 5 at noon CST at starwarscelebration.com.

Each day of the convention includes stage shows, celebrity appearances, screenings and exclusive merchandise.

The untitled Star Wars: Episode IX is set to be released later in the year - December 20, 2019 - so you can certainly expect some exciting announcements and guests will be in the works for Star Wars Celebration 2019.

Mark your calendars, Rebel scum, because the dates and location for next year's Star Wars Celebration have been announced.

Early reviews of the film have indicated that Glover is an absolute delight in the movie, and in an interview with Premiere France at Cannes this week, LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy also sang the character's praises, even hinting that the studio is looking at Lando to lead a Star Wars spin-off of his own.

According to Harpers Bazaar, the actress, who portrays Val in the Han Solo prequel, was spotted on the red carpet wearing a lovely Vivienne Westwood dress; but, not just any dress - a dress featuring each and every black Star Wars character to date.
