Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Hospitalized With Ankle Injury

Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Hospitalized With Ankle Injury

With the media locked in a revolving door of will-he-won't-he surrounding Meghan and Samantha's father Thomas and his attendance at Saturday's royal wedding, the latter has been doing the rounds of TV talk shows to give rolling updates and explain her role in Markle's weird decision to stage photographs with a paparazzi photographer.

Her boyfriend, Mark, told the gossip site that the pair were driving near a toll booth when a paparazzi photographer confronted them, trying to get a clear photo.

Samantha Grant, who shares a father with Meghan, is said to have been injured when a auto she was travelling in swerved to avoid an alleged paparazzi photographer and hit a concrete barrier. Mark then swerved to avoid colliding with the cameraman and made contact with the barrier.

Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha Markle, has been hospitalized after an alleged paparazzi encounter went awry.

TMZ reports that Samantha Markle sustained a broken ankle and a fractured knee.

"He drove Samantha to the E.R. where doctors are treating her".

Samantha Grant, 53, hit the windshield and fell to the floor mat, he said.

The alleged incident came after Samantha gave interviews on United Kingdom television about her half-sister's upcoming wedding to Prince Harry.

This is just the latest of health scare for Markle's family members after her father, Thomas Markle, has had several heart issues in recent weeks.

She claims she persuaded their dad Thomas to pose for a set of lucrative staged photos that caused Kensington Palace embarrassment after it had asked for his privacy to be respected.

Samantha, who has not been invited to the wedding, acknowledged that she and the Suits alum, 36, have a "strained" relationship, but that didn't stop her from purchasing a "sentimental" gift for the bride-to-be and Prince Harry. After the sketchy situation was exposed, Thomas pulled out of walking Meghan down the aisle at her wedding. She instead says that she had to personally send him money so that he could undergo surgery. There's no bigger media vulture with this wedding than you, is there?

She continued, "She's not qualified to suggest that I don't [speak out] under any law in this country".
