Battlefield 5 trailer revealed, set to release in October

Battlefield 5 trailer revealed, set to release in October

The game's livestream event included a hard confirmation from DICE senior producer Andreas Morell that no "pay-to-win" system will ever appear in BFV-meaning the game's players shouldn't expect to confront any Battlefront II-style currency system to access higher-level perks.

And they have advanced upon their Operations mode, now called "Grand Operations", these missions will span four stages, more of this and all multiplayer will be shown at the upcoming EA Play event event June 9-11th.

While we had to wait until the very end of the live stream event to see actual gameplay, or at least a clearly scripted version of it, I won't be as cruel.

Gustavsson feels that the base game is just the beginning, and says that Battlefield V will be constantly evolving as time goes on. EA Access subscribers will have the opportunity to play the game starting on October 11, and Deluxe Edition purchasers will get the game on October 16, three days ahead of the worldwide release.

Grand Operations will make their debut within the game, a variation of Operations that promises to wrap around the World War II story.

A beta will take place, but a date has not been provided. The developers have declared that players will have no way to get an unfair advantage in Battlefield V by paying more and there won't even be a series-standard DLC.

"No more paying for maps, no more paying for modes."

All of these multiplayer modes and features come together in Tides of War, EA and DICE's "new approach to live services". In what ended up being the most exciting reveal for Battlefield 5, DICE announced there will be no premium pass.

Finally, there was another rumour of Battlefield V having its own Battle Royale mode.

The acclaimed single-player campaign mode from Battlefield 1, War Stories, returns for Battlefield V. Witness the conflict through the eyes of men and women of World War 2 and experience untold stories of human drama, filled with Battlefield moments. Unlike certain past titles in the series, this will be the first Battlefield game that is fully set in World War 2.

Alex is at the Battlefield 5 reveal event in London and has plenty of information on the game.

According to GameStop, pre-ordering "Battlefield V" or "Battlefield V Deluxe Edition" grants the buyer the "Elister Offer", which gives you early access to the "Battlefield V" Open Beta.
