Tyson Fury recorded victory on his comeback to boxing

Tyson Fury recorded victory on his comeback to boxing

"I'll have a world title by the end of the year".

"I'll have more rounds and fight a better opponent", said Fury of his next fight.

At 29, he is yet to take on a high-profile opponent and he would surely jump at the chance to meet Fury in the ring, even if it meant travelling to the United Kingdom for the first time his career.

Fury's opponent Sefer Seferi clearly didn't come to fight, with the Albanian pulling out in the fourth round.

Seferi, who had campaigned nearly all his career as a cruiserweight, was never going to trouble the 6ft 9ins Fury by whom he was out-weighed by more than four-and-a-half stone, and the favourite was clearly capable of ending the fight at will.

"I" m very happy with my performance overall, I thought it was very good. I'll go home tonight and have a pizza and then I'll get back on it.

Fury’s opponent quit on his stool

"He took a couple of hard punches and didn't want to know".

As he targets a return to the big-time he briefly left after dethroning Wladimir Klitschko so memorably in November 2015, Fury will surely have no more nights quite so farcical as his triumph over Seferi.

The eagerly-awaited comeback happened almost three years after the British boxer secured a triumph over Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015. In one clip, men can be seen hurling themselves over chairs as the brawl, which unfolded during the second round of the boxing match, escalated. He received his boxing licence in January after accepting a backdated two-year doping ban.

Frank Warren, promoter to both Fury and Frampton, confirmed that the heavyweight would appear on the Belfast bill as he continues his comeback.

Fans will now be expecting Team Fury to take on some tougher challenges in next fights, with the The Gypsy King due to be back out on the Carl Frampton undercard on August 18 in Belfast.

"I've been realistic from the beginning that we're not going to put him in with big names early on", Warren said at a news conference. It's about him getting the rust out of the system. We picked Seferi because he had gone ten rounds with Manuel Charr. "In the meantime we have to get Tyson more competitive fights".
