Musk Madness: People Are Already Wreaking Havoc With Elon’s Flamethrowers

OK, so calling it a "Not a Flamethrower" may not be the most poetic way to refer to the $500 flame-throwing device - the Boring Co. took 20,000 pre-orders - but Musk isn't the most conventional of chief executives. Here's a closer look at Musk's many ventures and projects.

Billionaire space exploration hobbyist and business magnate Elon Musk held the hottest party in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Musk, who is known for provocative antics, first mentioned plans to sell a flamethrower in December, and repeatedly plugged the idea on social media. The most eager customers can forgo the bidding process and pay the eBay "buy it now price", which is as high as $20,000.

Just in time for Father's Day, Elon Musk's tunneling construction company began handing out its first batch of $500 flamethrowers this weekend.

The guns, which are more of a blowtorch than an actual flamethrower, are receiving some criticism for being unsafe. While it was interesting news from Elon Music and the Boring Company, we couldn't help but imagine having a flamethrower in our lives.

"Apparently, some customs agencies are saying they won't allow shipment of anything called a "Flamethrower".

Ahead of the original launch of the gun, he said: 'When the zombie apocalypse happens, you'll be glad you bought a flamethrower.

'For simple & concise instructions, we drew upon wisdom in great Dr Seuss book "Green Eggs and Ham"'. "Works against hordes of the undead or your money back!" "Will offer a TBC ice blaster before the dry season starts in winter".

First 1000 Boring Company Flamethrowers being picked up today!

Musk also tweeted out the terms and conditions for his "Not-A-Flamethrower", which will ostensibly protect his company from liability for the inevitable flamethrower injuries and property damages, which come along with ... you know, handing out actual flamethrowers to people.
