WONDER WOMAN 1984 - Steve Trevor Returns

WONDER WOMAN 1984 - Steve Trevor Returns

The following contains a spoiler for Wonder Woman if you haven't seen it yet.

In a pleasant morning surprise, Warner Bros. has released the first Wonder Woman 2 images from the highly anticipated sequel, as filming on the follow-up is now underway.

Plot details for the Wonder Woman sequel are now being kept under wraps. The script is based on a treatment by Jenkins and Geoff Johns, who recently confirmed that the film takes place in 1984.

Gal Gadot takes in numerous popular television programs from 1984 in a new photo for Wonder Woman 2, or as the film looks to now be titled, Wonder Woman 1984.

This is all doubly surprising given that the Wonder Woman sequel's set in the mid-1980s. Trevor was Wonder Woman's love interest and a military spy during World War I in the first movie.

First photos from 'Wonder Woman 1984' confirm that Chris Pine is returning as Steve Trevor

Jenkins' image was joined by another from Gal Gadot's Twitter account - this one showing Wonder Woman silhouetted against a bank of TV screens covered in 80s-style imagery.

Director Patty Jenkins has released the first photo from Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to the 2017 hit Wonder Woman, and she's bringing back a familiar face.

But the most revelatory thing about these images is that they confirm Chris Pine's return as Steve Trevor.

More on this as we get it.
