Courtney Hadwin Receives Golden Buzzer After 'AGT' Audition

After she was done rocking out, the judges were quick to shower Courtney with praise.

The schoolgirl from Peterlee will now be in the running for the $1m (£750,000) prize money on the NBC show.

Watch the adorable audition below! She shakily admits to being "very nervous" as the Spice Girl attempts to waylay her fears. That changed her life.

The judges were left stunned.

What happened in between was her transformation into a soulful singing dynamo that prompted judge Howie Mandel to compare her to Janis Joplin. I'm Howie Mandel, and I can't sign you to a record deal. "Oh my gosh! You are not from this era. The only thing I can do for you young lady is give you this".

Before long the golden buzzer was hit and the rest is history.

"That's talent", host Tyra Banks declared backstage during Guthrie's performance. "I am quiet and sticking to my own path", she says.

Courtney seems overwhelmed by the response, crying and thanking Howie and the audience.

Noah Guthrie - who appeared on 12 episodes of Glee season six as Roderick Meeks, the first member of the rebooted glee club, New Directions - wowed the AGT judges on Tuesday night's episode with his rendition of Rihanna's "Love on the Brain".

Courtney competed in The Voice Kids UK previous year but missed out on the top prize.

Before hitting the "America's Got Talent" stage, Hadwin previously competed on "The Voice Kids UK", where she made it to the final rounds of competition.
