First Warning Forecast: Strong To Severe Storms Tonight

With the potentially-heavy downpours, up to an inch and a half of rain can be expected. NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has placed that part of the state under a marginal risk of severe weather today. Luckily, humidity will drop behind the cold front by Tuesday.

Tomorrow will hold the chance for storms in all day due to model differences in the timing of rain. Highs both days will be in the low 90s.

A brief burst of higher humidity with scattered showers and storms rolls in here Wednesday before getting swept out to sea Thursday.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms will linger through the evening hours.

With a lot of tropical moisture in the air coupled with high temperatures, South Florida can expect similar conditions throughout the week.

Gusty southerly winds will howl across most of Kansas again Sunday when highs top-out near 100 degrees under a sunny to partly cloudy sky.
