Jada Pinkett Smith Opens Up About Suicidal Thoughts

Jada Pinkett Smith Opens Up About Suicidal Thoughts

Jada Pinkett Smith never shies away from sharing the personal ins and outs of everything-from her career and parenting to sex. "My grandmother taught me about self-pleasuring because she wanted me to know that pleasure was from me", Jada explained on the show. "She didn't want me to fall into the hands of a man and if he gave me pleasure to think that pleasure came from him. And she taught me at 9 - at 9!"

Jada Pinkett-Smith shockingly revealed on her Facebook show that her grandmother is the one who told her all about sexuality and pleasing herself when she was just 9-years-old.

Jada confessed: "I think by your age, I gave myself multiples first".

"One thing I've learned in my life over the years is that mental health is something we should practice daily, not just when issues arise", she captioned a photo on Instagram of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade.

"We, as women, have been trained that women aren't supposed to enjoy sex, sex is not for women, sex is for men, pleasure is for men", Jada said before explaining that once in the past, after an experiment with abstaining from men, she went through an addiction to sex toys.

I think we're all still in shock that celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain and fashion designer Kate Spade took their own lives last week. One day I was like, enough, I was having like five orgasms a day.

'I was as protective of Jaden as I was of you. And for Jada, this message was for her, too, because she once felt the same despair that the late Bourdain and Spade died from.

Willow simply likens the experience to walking in on something she shouldn't have.

Jada's first sexual experience, which she describes as "amazing", might've been just that because she had early experiences with masturbation, and knew what she liked and what to expect. "I was like, 'You don't have to be embarrassed.' It was like, their innocence was gone".

Another wrote: "Yeah.... Jada...you are telling to much sis....some shit needs to stay in that vault in your head...foreva!" This revelation (understandably) left Willow and her best friend visibly shook.

Jada then asked her daughter if there's still a stigma attached to a young woman who has "multiple partners", wondering if she's "still considered a slut". I was like, 'Oh my God, this is so insane.

Red Table Talk's latest episode is available now on Facebook Watch.

Meanwhile, on Monday's sex-themed episode of "Red Table Talk", Willow divulged that walking in on her parents' sexy time was her introduction to sex.
