DOTr Releases Advisory Regarding The #InMyFeelings Dance Challenge

DOTr Releases Advisory Regarding The #InMyFeelings Dance Challenge

In Abu Dhabi, three "social media influencers" were arrested after posting a video of themselves doing the challenge, according to reports.

Even if no one is hurt or killed, challengers can face fines up to $1,000.

Abu Dhabi recently issued warrants for the arrest of three social media influencers who participated in the challenge and Spain released a video showing how unsafe some of the videos are.

The fever started when web comic Shiggy presented a video on Instagram of himself showing off his NY dance moves to the infectious tune.

In India, police posted this warning to Facebook, encouraging participants to halt the sensation due to its unsafe nature.

The challenge requires people to jump out of their cars to dance on the streets to singer Drake's hit "In My Feelings".

"I was originally suppose to jump on the hood of the auto, but I slipped", Jaylen Norwood posted on Instagram after his somewhat botched effort to film his "In My Feelings" challenge.

"Dance on the floors, not on the roads!" The police forces have lately taken to social media to warn and inform citizens on various issues, with references to popular social media trends. The Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Jaipur Police also posted cautionary messages on their Twitter handles highlighting the risks of the dare. With the rise of the #InMyFeelingsChallenge taken on by the likes of Will Smith and others, a Florida man tried to stage his own and got hit by a vehicle doing so. The Halasuru Gate Traffic Police in Bengaluru recently deployed a "Yamaraja" on the roads to warn people of the dangers of traffic violations like not wearing a helmet and overspeeding.
