Donald Trump Hits Back At LeBron James Over Racial Comments

Donald Trump Hits Back At LeBron James Over Racial Comments

During their interview, James and Lemon toured "I Promise", a school for at-risk children that James has established in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

It came after the LA Lakers star accused Mr Trump of being divisive in a CNN interview. In the tweet, Trump also appeared to take sides in the LeBron James vs. He is - I don't want to say kinda.

James complained in the interview that Trump was trying to divide the country through athletics. James also said he wouldn't attend a ceremony at the White House if his team had won the NBA Finals. In the tweet, Trump insults Lemon's and James' intelligence and ends it by saying, "I like Mike!"

President Donald Trump on Friday night took a swipe at LeBron James, describing the National Basketball Association superstar as unintelligent in his latest broadside against black professional athletes.

He's dividing us, and what I've noticed over the last few months is that he's kind of used sport to kind of divide us.

It looks like President Donald Trump, 72, is ready for another celebrity Twitter feud! Not one word or follow-up that takes issue with anything either man has actually said. In the interview, James showcases his new school for underprivileged kids, discusses his upbringing, and touches on the current state of race in America. James' publicist declined to respond to Trump's tweet, but Lemon did, invoking both the administration's forced-family-separations policy and first lady Melania Trump's social media etiquette campaign. He also called him a "so-called president" in the wake of the Charlottesville violence. Trump is travelling to OH on Saturday for a campaign rally.

However, no longer is James in the Eastern Conference, as he chose to move west for the first time in his career and join the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron's on-court rivals Golden State Warriors are in the same camp with him as they have not been to the White House during their back-to-back championship wins in 2017 and 2018.
