Paul Pogba holds secret talks with Barcelona chief

Paul Pogba holds secret talks with Barcelona chief

The Red Devils paid a then world-record €105 million to bring him back to the club.

It is added that Pogba was disappointed by Mourinho's public digs at his World Cup performances.

Pogba, who did not accompany United on the US tour, will meet Mourinho this week after returning to United's Carrington training centre Monday after a three-week break following France's World Cup triumph.

It has been claimed that Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has already agreed the outline of personal terms on a contract with Barcelona and a €110m deal could be done.

It was a hard season at Old Trafford for Pogba previous year, but he ended it on a high being a key player for France as they lifted the World Cup in Russian Federation.

Mourinho is a big fan of the Bosnian midfielder, who was effectively signed to replace Pogba in Turin two years ago, and would be happy to swap the two players.

World Cup-winning Pogba is back at Carrington after he was allowed an extended break following the tournament in Russian Federation.

Speaking via the Mirror in 2016, Soler said: "Last year we reached a deal with Juventus for us to have a priority option when they sold Pogba".

The Portuguese harshly criticised some of the younger players on tour with his team in the U.S., while he has also warned the board over their lack of activity in the transfer window. With that out of the way he's coming good though we all know he can do even better. Where he's with his team on the training camp, completely isolated from the external world, where they focus just on football, where the dimensions of the game can only motivate.

FC Barcelona could feasibly complete a deal to sign Pogba any time between now and the end of August, when the European transfer window closes. However, the deadline in England is 5pm on Thursday, leaving United little or no time to sign a replacement unless they meant to replace him with new £52m signing Fred.

Meanwhile, United remain in talks with Bayern Munich over Germany centre back Jerome Boateng. "It's about him giving the best he has to give".
