Angelina Jolie wants divorce finalized by end of 2018

"But she filed in LA Superior Court knowing that it would go public and that he would be made out to be a deadbeat dad, which he isn't", the friend told Page Six.

"Brad has fulfilled his financial commitments, so it's unfortunate that anyone would misrepresent the situation and continue to play this out in the press", a friend of Pitt told ABC News.

"Given that the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expense has not been regularly sustained by Respondent for over a year and a half, petitioner intends to file an RFO for the establishment of a retroactive child support order", the court documents read.

In the court documents obtained by Access on Monday, Angelina requested a case management conference to address the lack of child support paid by Pitt.

"Jolie's attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean, stated: "[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support.

The two - who share Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - separated in September 2016 after two years of marriage.

A document surfaced earlier this summer, which showed their judge ordered Jolie to give Pitt more time with their six children.

Pitt and Jolie have three sons and three daughters, ages 17 and under.

The divorce proceedings are nearly at the two year mark, and according to a source, a major part of the delay is finding a custody agreement that works for both actors.

Pitt's spokesperson has yet to respond to the allegations, which emerge days after Jolie's representative, Mindy Nyby, denied reports suggesting the actress' main attorney, Laura Wasser, had quit over "internal conflicts" regarding the case.

Pitt has kept a low profile in the past two years, while Jolie has recently been filming a sequel to fairytale drama "Maleficent" in London and directed a 2017 film about the 1970s Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia in which more than one million people died.
