Richarlison talks up Everton targets Bernard, Yerry Mina

Colombian International Yerry Mina is close to finalising a permanent switch to English Premier League side Everton from Barcelona.

Everton beat a host of Premier League and European clubs to the signing of Bernard with the Brazilian worldwide becoming Marco Silva's fourth signing of the summer after Richarlison, Digne and Virginia.

Barcelona said they reserve the right to buy Mina back, while Gomes has cost Everton a £2m loan fee.

Despite interest from Manchester United and Lyon in the 23-year-old, and a six-week pursuit by Everton, the defender was finally secured on a five-year deal for an initial €30.25m (£27.2m) plus €1.5m in add-ons.

He has played 14 times for Brazil, scoring once, with his last worldwide appearance coming at the 2014 World Cup.

Allardyce, who was in charge of the club last season, believes that his former employers may have an issue with unhappy players at Goodison Park this season. When I found out about this opportunity and what the manager wanted out of me I was happy.

For me, it was really good to speak to him because I know how good he is and I feel motivated to work with him and to play for Everton, a great club.

The club also confirmed that Andre Gomes will join the Toffees on a season-long loan.

Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia in 2016 for (£31.46) €35m but has struggled to nail down a starting place at the Nou Camp.

The Brazilian winger has been capped 14 times by his country, and at the age of 25, it is thought his best years are still ahead of him.
